The Posada Returns!

With great delight, we are pleased to announce the return of the Posada, our outdoor family Christmas Eve service at St. Paul’s. Held at 4pm, we encourage you to bring your kids, grandkids, neighbors and friends to this short-but-sweet service…which honors the beloved Hispanic tradition of re-enacting Mary and Joseph’s search for lodging in Bethlehem. All are welcome!

What’s so special about a Posada service? Posada reminds us to welcome the stranger, the refugee, and those without homes and in need of shelter…just as our dear Christ and his family were in need long ago.

Wear warm clothes as we journey around our church grounds with real candles and a Pipia sister or two accompanying us in song. We’ll conclude in the sanctuary with a children’s Christmas message and a couple carols. Warm up with hot cocoa & cider in the Parish Hall afterwards, along with a game for the kiddos of breaking open a candy-filled Piñata !
