Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ’s one Family

Christ is Risen. He is Risen indeed.

Greetings and peace to you in the Name of our Risen Lord and Savior; We Pray that this finds you all well.

Tomorrow, we celebrate our Easter according to the Eastern Calendar. All Churches in the Palestinians Territories except Jerusalem and Bethlehem Celebrate together the Resurrection of our Lord according to the Eastern Calendar. It is a tradition that we have been following now for ten years. A tradition aims to connect all the Christian Minority in Palestine together  to celebrate  Easter as one Family.

Last Sunday, we had the honor to welcome Bishop Suheil Dawani and Bishop J. Bruno with us to celebrate Palm Sunday. We had a blessed and Joyful Service.

On Thursday, we had our program for the Children in Zababdeh where 450 child attended. A joyful moments to see all these Children together enjoying their Easter program and receiving their Easter Gifts.  We thank God for all of them. We thank God for all who supported this program specially our friends in the Netherlands who have been supporting our Children’s minister in Zababdeh.

May the Risen Lord Bless you all as you continue to witness to His Love and peace. May the Victory of the Resurrection continue to be with you and to bless your lives, families, friends, and parishes.

P.S. Attached some pictures from Palm Sunday and the Children Easter Program.

 Your Brother in Christ,

 Rev. Fadi Diab and family.

Rev. Fadi Diab & Family

"I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with Joy"

"Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens,
and to let the opressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry,

and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house?
when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him"

Rev. Fadi Diab

St. Matthew's Episcopal Church consists of 217 people. It is a young church and 70% of them are less than 25 years old.

Rev. Fadi fears that the future will bring further emigration of local Christians. He strongly believes that both the Christians world wide as well as the local Christian leadership need to look after the Christians of the Land of the Holy One to help them stay and remain a vital witness to the Lord.

How can you help the Christians from Zebabdeh?

  • Pray! Prayer is the first act of the faithful, and, in many ways, the most important thing we can do. Prayers don't have to be complex or eloquent - God perfects our stumbling words.
  • Learn! Being well informed enriches our thoughts, our prayers, our words, and our actions.
  • Visit! Even the shortest visits, when it includes meaningful connections with local people, can be a transformation experience, unforgettable and priceless.
  • Buy! Buy the Palestinian crafts of St. Matthew's Community, such as luscious embroidery, natural olive oil soap, and spices.
  • Keep in Contact! Lean more about our ministry, about the Christians of the Land of the Holy One and the pilgrimage possibilities.
