The Rev. Karen L. Pierce was ordained St. Paul's first Deacon on October 17, 2009 in Vancouver, Washington
by Bishop Greg Rickel.

On May 30, 2010, a Celebration of New Ministry was performed for The Rev. Karen Pierce. The Rev. Gen Grewell from the Diocese was present. Several gifts were given to Rev. Pierce along with a party celebration held in the parish hall afterwards.
