“Opening the Book of Nature”

An All-Ages, Nature Walk with Fayette Krause

9:30-11 a.m.

Peace Mile Trail, Fort Worden State Park
Meet at park’s West Gate at 9:30 a.m. (requires Discovery Pass if parking within park) or at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church (Port Townsend) at 9 a.m. for carpooling
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church will host a free, guided and meditative, 1.5-hour walk along the Peace Mile Trail, near the West Gate at Fort Worden State Park.  Through conversation, reflective readings, quiet, and fun activities (from nature educator, Joseph Cornell), we’ll enjoy this rich habitat where human development meets nature’s beauty and resilience.  Fayette Krause — a St. Paul’s member and Land Steward for The Nature Conservancy in WA from 1979-2009 — will guide this walk to help open mind and soul.  Please dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring binoculars (optional).  All ages most welcome!
For more information and to RSVP, please call (360) 385-0770 or email tanyambarnett@gmail.com.
